Goals and Aspirations from Creation and Beyond ​

When I created Imajica Theatre back in 2014 I wanted to build a magical world where anything is possible, filled with positivity. Where young people could learn all about the world around them. A place where everyone was valued equally, animal, creature, person, & planet, sharing important environmental education in a fun and friendly way! ​
Imajica theatre create safe and colourful spaces where young people can be expressive and where individuality is welcomed. A place where young people can build confidence and create a positive sense of well-being though access to the performing arts.
We are now stepping boldly Into our 8th year, and Kim & I are proud to say that we are doing all that we aspired to do. 
We have created lots of immersive musical productions that have both environmental and holistic messages. We also offer interactive workshops, storytelling, and events entertainment alongside our theatre-in-education programmes.  We perform in both traditional and non-traditional spaces alongside offering outdoor theatre experiences.
Together Kim and I have used our time as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic to improve our offer, develop new skills & develop existing ones.  We are super excited about our new direction; we work very well together creatively and have lots of new ideas to share with you all! ​
Alongside our live community focused performance work, we are also developing our digital multi-media approach to theatre. We are in the process of adapting our shows to offer digital productions and we are busy creating story and poems books…which is so very exciting! ​

Affordable Access
Through grant and sponsorship funded project work Imajica Theatre can reach out to all children regardless of personal circumstance. We have found creative ways to deliver multi-sensory work to all young people, in safe and familiar environments. We provide new experiences to a younger audience, who may have found professional theatre, outside of their normal reach.
We are a female led company, who provide opportunities for community focused female actors to develop their craft, while working with young people.
 We work collectively in our creative process, with the whole team bringing in different skills, to create interesting projects and productions.
Everyone’s skills are highly valued, and together we support each other, always striving to be innovative, always welcoming the eclectic individual.

Community Arts
​Imajica theatre was created to provide local and national access to high quality performing arts in the community. Our outdoor theatre programme includes community events in town centre’s and festivals, working with organisers and providing young people with opportunities to perform in the community. This widens our outreach, offering new experiences and providing a full theatrical experience in community settings.

Company Manifesto

​Imajica Theatre is a community interest company, investing in people and the community. Our profits are asset locked to be used in the community to provide high quality access to the arts in the community. 
  • We create and deliver interactive, multi-sensory Immersive theatre accessible to everyone regardless of age, race, social background, gender, religion or ability.
  • We create community-based projects, in a variety of settings, from street theatre to workshops and into the classroom, designed to have young people actively participating in drama, dance and singing to promoting a love of the performing arts.
  • We inspire those who show enthusiasm to further their studies and encourage young people and adults to work together, building a sense of self-worth and belonging within their community.
  • We establish close connections with community groups, businesses and education to promote the importance of offering access to performing arts.
